2013年12月5日15时39分，为“保障人民币的法定货币地位，防范洗钱风险，维护金融稳定”，中国人民银行等五部委联合发布《关于防范比特币风险的通知》，明确比特币不具有与货币等同的法律地位，不能且不应作为货币在市场上流通使用。
On 5 December 2013, at 1539 hours, in order to “ensure the legal monetary status of the renminbi, protect against the risk of money-laundering and maintain financial stability”, five ministries, including the People's Bank of China, jointly issued a Circular on Protection against the Risk of Bitcoin, making it clear that Bitcoin does not have legal status equivalent to money and cannot and should not be used as a currency in the market.
比特币中国就此烟消云散。

目前，我国已试点发行了数字货币，也是我国唯一合法、承认的数字货币。
At present, digital currency has been issued on a pilot basis and is the only legal and recognized digital currency in the country.
这一年，一个名叫杨林科的年轻人和好友创立了中国的第一家数字货币交易所——比特币中国（BTCC）。虽然比特币中国在创立后的两年一直在夹缝中生存，但它的出现为中国数字货币交易所开启了一个新篇章，留下了浓墨重彩的一笔。
This year, a young man and a friend, Yang Linko, founded China’s first digital currency exchange – Bitcoin China (BTCC). Although Bitcoin has been living in a patch for two years since its creation, its appearance has opened a new chapter for the Chinese digital currency exchange, leaving behind a lot of ink.
杨林科学历不高，高中毕业后就在汽车配件厂打工，随后应征入伍，度过了两年军旅生活。或许出身温州的他，骨子里就有着独属商人的气质。从军队复员后，杨林科开始创业，先后在北京经营过汗蒸、酒店等，生意一直不温不火。
After graduation from high school, he worked at the auto parts factory, then joined the army and spent two years in a military brigade. Perhaps he was from Wenzhou and had the taste of a single businessman in his bones. After the demobilization of the army, Yang Linko started a business, running sweats, hotels, etc., in Beijing.
2011年5月的一天，在与朋友黄笑宇的QQ聊天中，杨林科初识比特币。黄笑宇在2011年了解比特币后，脑子里一直就构思着中国比特币交易平台的雏形。
On a day in May 2011, in a QQ chat with a friend, Yang Linko first learned bitcoin. After learning about bitcoin in 2011, Huang Xiaoyu was thinking about the prototype of China’s Bitcoin trading platform.
当时比特币价格已经冲到了31美元，维基解密、自由网、自由软件基金会等组织都宣布开始接受比特币捐赠。门头沟交易所作为世界最大的交易所，已经占据市场90%的交易量，国内的数字货币交易者们都是在海外交易，中国交易所市场仍处于完全空白的时期。
By that time, Bitcoin prices had reached $31, and organizations such as WikiLeaks, FreeNet, and Free Software Foundation had announced that they would accept Bitcoin donations. As the world’s largest exchange, the Door Gap Exchange already held 90% of the market, the domestic digital money traders were trading abroad, and the Chinese exchange market was still completely empty.

In the first two years of Bitcoin’s existence, only hundreds of bitcoins were traded every day, and they were in a state of loss. On April 1, 2013, for the first time, Bitcoins made a breakthrough of $100, and more and more people entered the Bitcoin market, and Bitcoin’s trade volume increased and gradually balanced, but the surge in traffic led to the collapse of its trading website.

With Yahoo’s eight-year experience as a senior engineer, and formerly in high-ranking positions in Wal-Mart, he offered to join Bitcoin China, claiming that he could bring 3 million yuan to finance the company.
2013年4月，李启元加入公司。入职后，李启元兑现承诺，从光速资本融资500万美元。同时，李启元从杨林科和黄笑宇手中买了一些股份，借此成为比特币中国的联合创始人和CEO。
In April 2013, Li Qi Won joined the company. When he took office, Li Qi Won honoured his commitment to finance $5 million from light capital. At the same time, Li Qi won bought shares from Yang Linko and Huang Xiaoyu, thereby becoming the co-founder of Bitcoin and the CEO of China.
比特币价格炒得火热的大背景下，大量玩家涌入市场，比特币中国顺势获取大量用户资源，平台的全球话语权也水涨船高。
Against the backdrop of the hot price of bitcoin, a large number of players are pouring into the market, and Bitcoin China is gaining access to a large amount of user resources, and the platform’s global voice is rising.
同年11月，比特币中国的交易量已经达到近180万个比特币，领先排名第二的门头沟交易所近70万，成为世界最大的比特币交易平台。
In November of the same year, Bitcoin China's volume of transactions reached nearly 1.8 million bitcoins, leading the second-largest door-to-door exchange of nearly 700,000, and became the world's largest Bitcoin trading platform.
正当比特币中国头顶无上荣耀，享用着先发优势带来的巨大蛋糕时，2013年12月5日15时39分，为“保障人民币的法定货币地位，防范洗钱风险，维护金融稳定”，中国人民银行等五部委联合发布《关于防范比特币风险的通知》，明确比特币不具有与货币等同的法律地位，不能且不应作为货币在市场上流通使用。

2014年，杨林科由于家庭和比特币市场低迷等原因离开管理层。而比特币中国的比特币交易业务在李启元的管理下扶摇直上，交易量一度达到顶峰，最高时占据全球比特币交易市场的48％。
In 2014, Yang Linko left management for reasons such as family and bitco’s low market. Bitco’s bitcoin trading business in China stooped up under Li Qingwon’s management, reaching a peak, with 48% of the world’s Bitcoin trading market at the highest.
但在随后的岁月里，比特币中国不断遭受后来者的冲击，最终在“九四事件”后，宣布关停所有交易业务。
In the years that followed, however, Bitcoin continued to suffer from subsequent shocks, culminating in the closure of all transactions after the “94 incidents”.
2018年1月29日，比特币中国官方发布消息，称BTCC集团公司旗下业务连同其子公司已正式被香港区块链投资基金收购，将继续经营采矿池、Mobi比特币钱包以及美元/比特币兑换三类业务。但此次收购并不包括比特币中国。
On 29 January 2018, Bitcoin’s Chinese official announcement stated that BTCC’s operations under its flag, together with its subsidiaries, had been officially acquired by the Hong Kong Block Chain Investment Fund, and would continue to operate mining ponds, Mobibitco’s wallet, and three types of United States dollar/bitcoin exchange operations. But the takeover did not include Bitcoin China.
2019年1月2日，比特币中国官方宣布，杨林科已经正式完成对比特币中国100%股权的收购，比特币中国将转型为区块链技术服务实体经济的企业。
On 2 January 2019, an official Bitcoin-China announcement was made that Yang Linko had officially completed the acquisition of 100 per cent of the shareholding in Bitco, and that Bitcoin had transformed it into a business in the real economy of block-chain technology services.
